The outer shell is built from Patex Durashell™ softshell. Your frontline defense. Highly abrasion-resistant to handle brush, rock scrapes, and rough terrain. Blocks windchill from 40 mph gusts, and features a 10,000mm waterproof rating to keep rain, sleet, and morning dew out.

Layer 2: The Core (Self-Regulating Polar Fleece)
The jacket and pants are fully lined with polar fleece. Instead of trapping sweat like a rubber rain shell, this fleece regulates your microclimate. It traps body heat when you’re idle at 20°F on a predawn trailhead, but breathes and dumps excess heat when you’re grinding uphill with a loaded pack.
